WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BOOKS?
Battle of the Books is a book-based trivia tournament for those entering Grades 4 – 12. Team Bedford will have a team in the Grades 4 – 7 and 6 – 12 age groups. The teams will compete by answering trivia questions based on the five books for their age group. Battle event takes place in October.

You have to do your summer reading assignments, why not do it with friends?
Come to the first kick off meeting:
*Pizza Lunch and Ice Cream
* Read books with friends
*Discuss summer reading assignments as a group
*Meet new friends in your grade & share book ideas.
*Books from your school Summer reading lists will be available at the Library

Join Maureen to Stitch and Sew. This mending workshop will show you how to fix old items of clothing, linens and household objects by turning tears and flaws into beautiful features. Create repairs that blend in, as well as bold or whimsical visible designs that add personality and fun. Supplies will be provided.
